They will still crowd around kettles even when it is raining. Might it really be that they wanted a drink under some heat? Like a pub you know...adrianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05447826632968927853noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18797432.post-56825085033031101422009-10-07T09:42:25.531+08:002009-10-07T09:42:25.531+08:00Oh I see .. I would experiment with that as well, but it seems that the trap is working... today at 9am there were no ants in my boiler!!claudiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02539803717802346855noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18797432.post-49597092330246879772009-10-06T23:25:17.781+08:002009-10-06T23:25:17.781+08:00actually the ants are just seeking a drink. it'...actually the ants are just seeking a drink. it's like that at home also. they'll crawl into cups with water in them, or those water containers. i think they run around too much, they're dehydrated. So the best thing to do is put your boiler away, or leave a small plate of water near the ants' path so they don't venture any further than that. try it! it may actually work.jensenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07577984632962318460noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18797432.post-63394276135008611522009-10-06T18:13:39.942+08:002009-10-06T18:13:39.942+08:00This will NOT happen here! It's comforting in some sense that Adrian also wasted his computing cycles to think why were the ants meeting in your kettle. But only in some sense i guess :))claudiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02539803717802346855noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18797432.post-46311682386724757422009-10-06T17:11:39.057+08:002009-10-06T17:11:39.057+08:00The same thing happened to me last sem with my ket...The same thing happened to me last sem with my kettle.
